Work in Progress Wednesday: Summer Activity Calendar
It’s cold outside! If you live up North, you know what I mean.
And for some reason, even though my family is from the northern part of the country, I’ve never gotten used to the cold weather. I could spend the rest of my life in the south.
Brrrrrr!
So today, I’m thinking happy, warm thoughts. In other words…summer…
I know it’s a bit early, but as I say every year it’s never to early to start planning for summer!
And even though we don’t have any funds right now, I’m going to go ahead and plan for the best; hopefully everything will work out. And if it doesn’t…well…that’s when we get to be spontaneous.
Prince Charming hates when I plan out our summer. But this summer is going to be a little bit different. For the last two years, I’ve had summers packed full of special theme days and activities. I still want to participate in our local letterboxing program but that has yet to be announced. What I’d like to do instead this year is to make a bucket list of the things the kids ABSOLUTELY want to do and go from there. Plus a couple of cultural things…and of course camp. We can’t have summer without camp!
And the beauty is that this calendar can be changed. For instance, the first day of school is a guess on the date for now, and it can be changed when we have the final date.
Here’s the calendar so far:
What’s on your summer bucket list?

I really wanted to post it last week but after my step daughter found out about some new information about the fall soccer season, I had to move a lot of things around. I hope you agree that the final product looks much better than the Work-in-Progress version! […]
