DIY Homework Caddy

Let me just start by saying that this DIY Homework Caddy has been a lifesaver at our house. We don't really have room in our house for an extra desk for the kids to work at, so they have to do their schoolwork at the kitchen table. Before I put together these caddies, cleaning up the mess after the kids were done their work was just a nightmare. DIY Raised Garden Bed: Part 2

A few weeks ago, we took the plunge to start up our summer garden again. We booked a lawn care specialist from https://www.lawncare.net/service-areas/massachusetts/ to come and take a look at what could be done to get the grass looking a little happier. You can see how badly the garden looked before and after in the gallery shown below. It definitely looks so much better! This year, we planted sweet corn, carrots, watermelon, cucumber, zucchini, sunflowers, geraniums,…

I chose this picture, because today I wanted to work on some cleaning and I was working on the bedrooms. I had some extra time that fell into my schedule, and I have started both a month-by-month cleaning list as well as a 31 Days to a Clean House list just this month. I'm a bit behind on the 31 Days to a Clean House, but a lot…

Work-in-Progress Wednesday: DIY Christmas Cards for the Classroom

Welcome to another Work-in-Progress Wednesday! Today, Princess Anna and I were working on her Christmas cards for school.  I don't know about you, but I always feel guilty when the kids bring home cards from most of the other kids when we didn't send any.  So here I am making our own.  Because (I think) it's cheaper.  You just need some cardstock; some printer paper; some glue or double-sided tape; some crayons, markers, or colored pencils; and of course ink in your printer.  Unless of course you want to draw everything by hand, in which case...more power to you!  But…
