Back to School Recap
Ahh, relief. That’s the feeling I get when all of the back-to-school insanity has died down somewhat–when we start to get into a routine again. (P.S. I love routine.)
Now that meet-the-teacher nights are over, we just have our daily routines to worry about, and the kids are now getting used to going back to school and haven’t been fighting it as much as they were last year.
This year I’ve decided to blog early in the morning (5 AM), so I have uninterrupted time to work on my passion. Eventually the kids wake up, and we all get ready for the day. While the kids are at school I have the flexibility to adjust as needed: a workout, work as a virtual assistant, lunch, and housework. All this I can fit in before the kids get home and we get into the homework-dinner-get-out-the-door-for-activities routine. Thankfully we have a few decent days of the week right now that aren’t too obstructed by activities; I love that the kids will have some free time to play in the evenings a few days a week.
I’m looking forward to what the rest of this school year holds and am excited to see what we all accomplish in the next 9-ish months or so.
All that being said, I can’t wrap up this post without first-day pictures:
And of course the good news is that my kids seem to really like their teachers. Princess Anna loves the other kids in her class, and Rapunzel is making new friends. And that, my friends, is the best news at back to school time.
How has sending the kids back to school gone for your kids? I’d love for you to share in the comments below.
