Reading List Review: July 2015

This month went very well for my book appetite.  Not only did I read a lot, but also learned a lot, which changed the way I see my prayer life and my marriage.  I'd have to say that The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson and For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn were the most transformational, so I highly recommend you take the time to read those two.  (And if you're a man, read For Men Only by Shaunti Feldhahn.)  I look forward to reading more books this month to improve the intimacy in my marriage this month as well as some more books…

Goal Setting: Week of June 21, 2015

Well this week was definitely a mostly fail.  Sometimes I tend to get over-zealous and make some lofty goals despite the fact that I have a lot of stuff going on...like preparing for vacation...getting ready for a yard sale...last minute assignments...you know the stuff. Let's look on the bright side.  I did accomplish some things this week, and at the time I'm posting this, I still have a day left to squeeze some small things in.  Here's how I did this week: Spiritual: Devotions (5/7) Designated prayer time (2/7) Mental: Journal (2/7) Physical: No soda 8 c. of water daily Exercise (3/7)…

Goal Setting: Week of June 7, 2015

Ah, well it's been a while for the goals.  As I try to get back into things, I am yet again going to attempt to post my goals.  I feel this is the only way I can be held accountable, because I sure don't hold myself accountable nearly enough. Here are my goals for next week: Spiritual: Devotions (5/7) Designated prayer time (2/7) Mental: Finish A Confident Heart by Renee Swope Journal (2/7) Physical: No soda 8 c. of water daily Exercise (1/7) Family: Devotions with Prince Charming (1/7) Devotions with babies (3/7) 1 hour with Prince Charming Spend time with…

Reading List Review: June 2015

I started out May in a whirlwind, reading 2 books in a matter of 3 days.  Things slowed down toward the middle and end of the month as I started many books and worked on a couple of others.  Overall, I'm happy with my reading for this month. Here's what I read during the month of May: 7 Day Prayer Warrior Experience by Stormie Omartian Fearless by Max Lucado What Are You Afraid Of? by David Jeremiah God Has a Dream for Your Life by Sheila Walsh Desperate Marriages by Gary Chapman What I'm Reading Now: A Confident Heart by Renee Swope Love Must Be…
