Scripture Sunday: Stay Calm

"The Lord Himself will fight for you.  Just stay calm." - Exodus 14:14 This verse has just popped into my head a couple of times this week, and when I feel like freaking out, this is a good verse to remember.  I have it in my household management binder and in my bedroom, and I find it a helpful reminder that we're not in this thing called life on our own.  Whether you have been living in sin and feel like God can't possibly be with you, whether you just feel like you're alone in life, or if you're just…

Scripture Sunday: You Are God’s Masterpiece

"For we are God's masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." - Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) We are a masterpiece.  We are a Michaelangelo, a Vincent van Gogh, a Leonardo daVinci, a work of art like the Mona Lisa.  The difference?  We are from the master artist.  The artist who created the master artists.  He created us brand new through His son, Jesus Christ.  And He has plans for us.  Plans he set out for us from the beginning of time.  We have a purpose.  And…
