Today I have gone back into working on fundraising.  In less than a year I want to be in the process of publishing this book, and i am in need of funding to publish it with Westbow Press.

I have received great advice from loving friends and family who encourage self-publishing; however, Westbow Press will allow me to receive professional assistance, free copies of the book, and a chance to be picked up by Zondervan.

The last time I tried to fundraise for publishing, I held lofty goals.  I’m being a little more realistic this time, shooting for the $2,000 plan, which is often discounted.  This will provide me with a softcover option, an ISBN number, a complimentary author copy, worldwide book distribution, US copywright, Library of Congress Control number, design services, inclusion in their catalog, e-book format and distribution, hardcover option, editoral assessment, 15 free paperback copies, 5 free hardcover copies, and a Google and Amazon Search program.

Kickstarter doesn’t distribute funds until you reach your goal.  Because my goal before was so lofty, I was unable to receive any of the contributions I received.  FundRazr will allow me to access my funds and place them toward my goal.

I also recently discovered Lysa TerKeurst and Proverbs 31 Ministries’ She Speaks Conference and have my heart set on attending.  Beginning my speaking career and having had a calling toward such for a long time, I have the great desire to learn more about what I’m doing.  She Speaks provides both a writer and speaker track for training in these areas (not to mention that it’s led by Lysa TerKeurst!).  It should cost me about $1,500 to attend, which includes travel, lodging, food, and the conference.

Since I will be leaving my job this year and my husband is starting his own business, it will be otherwise impossible for me to attend or publish.  I need your help to get this off the ground.  Please consider donating through my FundRazr site, and share with your friends and family.  Even a $1 helps!
