Choosing Just to Be

Today I was all determined to accomplish a host of things. And I did. I spent way more time that I had planned on working on the blog page, worked out, and even enjoyed a walk to the school to pick up Princess Anna from school.Everything went as planned, really, until bedtime. When my niece came up with this fantastic idea for a tea party that we can't attend, which led Princess Anna into a meltdown, because they my sister and niece are leaving on Wednesday and we won't see them again for a year. And somewhere along the way, I had…

It's raining today. And icy. And gloomy. I am naturally a pessimist, but I don't like gloom.  I don't like dark and dreary and things dragging me down and negativity.  I think that's because I know that, the more I'm around it, the more it brings me down.  And the longer I'm down the worse I get.  So needless to say, since I can't control the weather, I'm feeling somewhat gloomy.  Like an Eeyore. Work-in-Progress Wednesday: DIY Christmas Cards for the Classroom

Welcome to another Work-in-Progress Wednesday! Today, Princess Anna and I were working on her Christmas cards for school.  I don't know about you, but I always feel guilty when the kids bring home cards from most of the other kids when we didn't send any.  So here I am making our own.  Because (I think) it's cheaper.  You just need some cardstock; some printer paper; some glue or double-sided tape; some crayons, markers, or colored pencils; and of course ink in your printer.  Unless of course you want to draw everything by hand, in which case...more power to you!  But…
