Savory Daniel Plan Chicken Bites

When I started the Daniel Plan on February 10th, I was all gung ho about how good I was going to do on this plan and how easy it was going to be with the recipes from the cookbook along with eating fresh fruit and veggies.  I was going to be a pro at this thing.  Until I ate too much of the same stuff every day.  Which made it harder and harder to continue. The solution: come up with some of my own recipes using organic and/or natural products.  I experimented a couple of times and modified some recipes.  Now, I'm…

How I’ve Failed as a Christian (and Why It’s Okay)

Take a moment to imagine the perfect Christian.  If you've read the Bible, maybe you picture the Proverbs 31 woman.  Or the man described in the book of Titus.  Whether or not you know what the Bible says about how Christians should act, what do you think of? The #1 Thing You MUST Do if You Want to Write

I am a passionate writer.  I have been since the age of 8, writing stories on my dad's typewriter and selling them for 50 cents.  As I grew older I wrote for school, and I wrote for fun.  I wrote to record things, I wrote to vent things, and I wrote to communicate.  I kept a journal, and I wrote volumes of poetry. When I opened up Making the Most to the world…

Goal Setting: Week of March 6, 2016

This week I felt as though I accomplished very little. It seems like everything came up this week (despite the fact that the kids were in school all week). Really, I just don't know what happened, and time got away from me. The good news is that today is the first Saturday in quite a while that we've not had basketball games to attend or other things going on, so I accomplished quite a lot today! Here's how this week looked: Spiritual: Devotions (5/7) Daniel Plan Devotions (7/7) Designated prayer time (1/7) - Plans to do this today Mental: Journal…

Reading List Review: January & February 2016

I'm really excited this month as I go over what I read during the months of January and February.  As much as I hated all the snow we got, it sure did provide me with plenty of time to read.  In fact, I read twice as many books as I had planned, so I'd say this year is starting out pretty well for my reading goals.  Can't wait to see what I finish in March! Here's what I read during the months of January & February: Animal Farm by George Orwell The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne Where is God When…
